May Days Parade

Stake out a good spot because there’s never a shortage of fun on Front Street during the annual May Days Parade held every year on Victoria Day.      Keep in mind that there is a chance you’ll get wet!      This year’s theme is celebrating  ” Canada 150”

Softball Tournament

What’s better than knocking the ball around on the shores of Kootenay Lake? Not much! Not to mention that the FOOD Pavilion and Beer Gardens are but a hop skip and a jump away from the ballpark. Get your friends up and moving and get to Kaslo to take part in the annual Softball Tourney!

Music in the Park

Garden Fest

The May long weekend has long been synonymous with planting the garden in this country. For one day, Monday,May 20, local garden centres, nurseries, and plant enthusiasts will be getting their hands dirty, bringing their lovingly grown vegetable plants, flowering plants, hanging baskets and garden ornaments to the Front Street Park, next to the Kaslo Hotel. From 9 am – 3 pm Front Street Park will be transformed into Kaslo’s very own garden store. Check out the large variety of plant, seed and wild crafting vendors, as well as local artisans who create great additions for any garden. Come for the Garden Festival and stay for the day!

The Kaslo River Trail is a monument of cooperation that symbolizes the passion and love for the community. Hop on the guided walk along the stunning Kaslo Riverfront with the Trailblazers society and learn what makes this particular trail so special, beyond its natural beauty.

The Kaslo Riding Club invites you to enjoy a wonderful demonstration. Take a few moments away from the busy downtown core and join them.

Kid Centric Saturday

Saturday  of the May Days festival  is specifically geared for the kids.  Kids’ Fun Races, childrens entertainment,  giant bubble demonstrations and more  geared for kids and the children in all of us.

Pancake Breakfast

The Pancake breakfast fundraiser is a great way to support the community and fill your stomach. Stop by the Kaslo Senior Citizen’s Center on Monday morning and get your fill of good food and good company.

Skate Park Demonstration

Feeling cool? Head down to the Kaslo Skate Park and watch some of the most talented boarders show off their moves.

Helicopter Tours

Run by the Kaslo Fire Department, you’ll have the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of Kaslo and Kootenay Lake as helicopter tours will be available on Saturday during May Days!
