About the ChamberWelcome to the Kaslo and Area Chamber of Commerce website. The Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization, committed to supporting and promoting the well-being of the business community; encouraging partnership and collaboration among businesses; providing opportunities for networking, community involvement and professional growth; and advocating for members at the provincial level to ensure that concerns are heard. Throughout the year, the Chamber sponsors and/or supports a number of events which have become important village traditions, including the annual May Days Celebration, Christmas Light Up and Communities in Bloom.The Chamber provides a voice for local business, with promotion for our membership in various media outlets, including the creation and maintenance of this web site. Recent accomplishments include additional signage and advertising space at two village entrances, promotional signage near the Balfour Ferry docks and print advertising in local and international media. Chamber membership has expanded in recent years to over 70 members comprised of businesses, professionals and community organizations who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic, commercial and tourism interests of our community.
