Snowmobiling
The Kaslo area is a great place to snowmobile. The sledding season often extends from October to July with January, February and March being the prime months. If you are looking for deep powder and have a sled that can handle lots of steep untracked snow, then this is the place for you. Although there are not any groomed trails in the area, logging and old mining roads are gateways to amazingly scenic vistas. On a dull cloudy winter day down below, take your sled up above the clouds and bask in the sun on the top of Mount Buchanan above Kaslo. It doesn't get much better than this.
